Gotta catch 'em all, right?

In the spirit of the current strip, here's a link to a POKEMON parody animation I did along with infamous brother Bobby nearly five years ago. It's a cross between POKEMON and SOUTH PARK. I started animating it before the infamous "Chinpokomon" episode of SOUTH PARK aired, too, though I think it was on before I finally debuted the short online.
Oh, and a reader scarily informs me that there IS such a thing as Pokewomen! Once again, it's proven that Fairbanks isn't so crazy after all...

Interesting article on how both Bush AND Rumsfeld were shockingly incompetent on 9-11.
For those who haven't seen Bush's deer-in-the-headlights choke after learning "America is under attack," here's the video.
Did someone slip Bush a truth serum?

"The Senator ought to be proud of his record... Senator Kerry is justifiably proud of his record in Vietnam, and should be. It was noble service."

AP: Bush Insists His Administration Seeking 'New Ways to Harm Our Country'
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
Here's an MP3 of the offending remark. Full transcript and video of speech here.

Chris Crosby Quickies

Heya everybody, sorry I've let this blog be so silent lately. Still settling into my crazy former school building home in South Dakota, which is awesome. Here's some quick bits of fun or fact to make you slightly happier...
* Did you see this cool pin-up image featuring Cecania and a bunch of other gaming comic characters? Courtesy of Tauhid R. Bondia, who just got offered a much-deserved deal with United Feature Syndicate.
* Who wants to buy a Coleman plush toy? We're actually getting a prototype designed already, but I thought I'd poll interest in such a purchase before we get them mass-produced. I know I want one, but DO YOU? Tell us.
* I will update the character description page and the fan art page as soon as I can. Sorry. (Hey, at least the COMIC updates on-time!)
* Who wants a free 6-disc DVD set of the first and second seasons of the cool '90s sci-fi TV show SLIDERS? It was one of my favorite shows (mostly for the awesome sliding-through-alternate-realities concept than for the actual execution, but there were moments of greatness), and our friends at Universal Studios (YES, we DO have friends) have sent me a free box of SLIDERS goodness to award to one of you lucky folks in some sort of contest. After some thought, I've decided the contest will be THIS: Read the archive of NUKEES, one of the most underrated and longest-running webcomics around. Like SLIDERS, NUKEES is all about nutty scientists, so there is a theme to this contest. After you read the archive, E-Mail NUKEES creator Darren "Gav" Bleuel (at contest at SPAMPEOPLEDONTGETTHIS(removethatpart) nukees dot com) a fan letter saying what you liked about the comic. The winner of the SLIDERS DVD set will be whoever Darren thought wrote the best fan letter. The contest may end at any time, so GO!
