Some Music Stuff.
Posted By Owen at 10:36 PM
All of you At The Drive-In and Mars Volta fans should know there's a new Sparta album out, here's the single Breaking the Broken.

There's also a new Polyphonic Spree disc and their awesome website has probably the coolest flash game I've ever played called Quest for the Rest .
It's super fun but a little short.

My current favorite song is by the Hi Lo Trons, it's called Lights Out and it's about Great White Sharks vs. some kind of protective suit. Pure brilliance.

My other strip for Nightmare World updated with two more pages on Thursday and Cecania makes a sexy cameo. She'll be there next Thursday as well. For those interested in my art I should mention that I've got a five page story in Digital Webbing Presents #18, it's in this month's previews. It's a story I did with The excellent Tony Lee and the also excellent Don Mackinnon. "Jigsaw Lady" is the name, it's classic british horror with a sort of Junji Ito by way of Jack Chick vibe. That's what I was going for anyway. Digital Webbing is a great place and it's invaluable if you're trying to make it in this crazy comic biz. Picking up an issue of their comic really is supporting a good cause. There's a preview up here . Thanks everyone.

Canada heart Moore

I went to a 4:00 Sunday matinee of FAHRENHEIT 9/11 and it was PACKED! This is small(ish) town Canada we're talking about and the film had already been out for days. If Bush gets re-elected maybe you should all just move to Canada, we leave our doors unlocked so you can all find a place to stay.
That said, they did vote conservative here in Saskatchewan so who knows what people want......

Monday's SORE THUMBS... LATE?
Posted By Chris Crosby at 12:41 PM
Faithful readers of my other comic (which has been posted on-time every day for over 5 years) are probably surprised to see that it's Monday evening and SORE THUMBS hasn't updated yet. Luckily, I have a fairly good excuse. I've moved to Cresbard, South Dakota. We've been on the road for 10 days, and we got to our nutty new home (a 40,000 square foot former school building!) on Sunday night. I was horrified to discover that the phone lines were turned off (and DSL has yet to be installed) and could not be turned on until Tuesday.

Refusing to accept the possibility of me ever missing a comic update, I am writing this from a hotel room in nearby Aberdeen, where I'll letter and upload today's comic by the end of the day. Yes, dear readers, you will get your Monday comic on Monday. Sorry for the lateness.

The HORROR!!!!!
Posted By Owen at 3:48 PM
Hey gang,
For the month of July I've got a second online comic! I'm pretty excited about it. It's up at Nightmare World and it's called "Trust Your Mechanic". Nightmare World is an online series of horror stories written by Aaron Weisbrod. The story is drawn by myself with colors by the awesome Don Mackinnon. NW updates with 2 new pages every Thursday. As a bonus, Cecania makes a cameo appearance about midway though the story. The art is sort of a hybrid between my traditional comicbook work and some of my Sore Thumbs tricks, I also did a crazy painted cover. I hope everyone stops by and lets me know what you think. Nightmare World has a posting board that I'll be on if you would like to stop by, I'd love to see some ST readers make an appearance. Thanks everyone.
