RING in the new year with HERO BY NIGHT!
Posted By Chris Crosby at 12:22 PM
HERO BY NIGHT is one of the few comics where you can actually watch as its creator originally pitched it, as DJ Coffman was videotaped pitching the concept to Hollywood bigshots at San Diego Comic-Con in 2006 (see video above). It won him the first Comic Book Challenge competition and a publishing contract. After being produced for a couple of years to great acclaim, some unfortunate problems caused HERO BY NIGHT to stop production. The good news is, the new year will bring new HERO BY NIGHT adventures free for all to read on the web here at Keenspot, and you can catch up with what you missed right now. There are few better comics to start 2012 with, it's a fun and hopeful read! Happy new year, Thumbers!

Amazing! How did I miss this? My favorite comedian Louie CK repeatedly asks Donald Rumsfeld if he is a lizard from outer space...

Owen's AVENGELYNE series is now a free webcomic updated every weekday!
Posted By Chris Crosby at 11:18 PM
Those of you paying close attention know that earlier this year my partner-in-creative-crime Owen Gieni was recruited by legendary 1990s Levi's commercial spokesman Rob Liefeld (video above) to illustrate a new monthly comic book series from Image Comics rebooting his Extreme character AVENGELYNE for a new generation of hip young fly-buttoners. It debuted back in July to rave reviews, and is currently on issue #5 (go buy it!). But for the legion of sad sacks unable or unwilling to buy a comic book at any price, we are now making AVENGELYNE available as a FREE Keenspot webcomic! If you can't plunk down your $2.99, plunk down your eyeballs onto the computer screen and generate some Extreme ad revenue for us! AVENGELYNE five days a week, because vengeance has never looked this good. Now go button your fly!

I miss Mr. Plinkett so here's his classic STAR TREK review again...
